Overview

EchoMed operates specialist private cardiology clinics in several locations across the South of the UK.

When they came to us, they were struggling with limited organic visibility and poor ad performance, with a low return on ad spend (ROAS) and significant budget waste.

We worked closely with EchoMed to develop a clear strategy that would enhance their marketing performance, eliminate inefficiencies, and increase leads and bookings to drive business growth and expansion.

Setting clear goals for EchoMed’s SEO and PPC project

The focus on EchoMed’s project with us was to address the issues across their paid and organic search strategies.

They needed a strategy that would reduce wasted ad spend, enhance their technical SEO performance, and generate a higher volume of quality booking enquiries to support their ambitious growth plans.

We created clear objectives and milestones for the project:

  • Achieve a profitable ROAS based on customer lifetime value (LTV)
  • Increase technical site health and maintain at 90% or above
  • Grow organic visibility for high-intent and local search terms
  • Increase organic traffic and clicks to high-value service pages

Optimising EchoMed’s technical performance and content strategy

For the SEO project, our focus was on optimising their Technical SEO and website content to improve search visibility for their most relevant terms, all while competing against larger healthcare providers, like the NHS.

Our SEO specialists drastically improved loading speeds and developed a keyword strategy centred on high-intent, treatment-specific local search terms to drive traffic to service and booking pages.

We strengthened their authority by adding helpful educational content that answered common medical questions and implementing FAQ schema across key pages, which helped EchoMed appear in AI Overviews, Featured Snippets, and People Also Ask results.

Generating qualified appointment bookings through Google Ads

Through a complete restructure of EchoMed’s Google Ads account, our PPC specialists drastically reduced waste, improved conversion rates and acquisition costs, and generated appointment bookings with a clear, profitable ROAS.

We launched new Search and Performance Max campaigns to drive online bookings for their Private Heart Health scans, and conducted regular checks and optimisation to remove irrelevant traffic and focus solely on people looking for private appointments.

To maximise click-through rates and lead quality, we highlighted the faster appointment turnaround compared to the lengthy NHS delays in the ad copy, as well as pricing to help customers judge affordability.

The result

Our combined search strategy has helped drive more bookings and considerable growth for EchoMed.

Their Google Ads account is now supporting their growth, with a lower cost-per-lead that allows spend to scale without unnecessary waste, and a solid return on ad spend that drives consistent profit for the business. Organic visibility has increased across key services, with notable rises in clicks and impressions, helping more people discover EchoMed’s services.

This growth has led to more appointments, fuller clinics, and business expansion with the opening of a new clinic on London’s Harley Street. EchoMed has also been able to grow their cardiology team to meet the rising demand for their services.
