Overview
Imperial Homes is a property developer in Southampton specialising in bespoke residential projects across the South Coast of Hampshire.
They focus on small developments to create thoughtful, unique, and characterful one-of-a-kind homes. But when we first got in touch with them, their website didn’t mirror the same character, quality, and thoughtfulness of their properties. The website design was dated, and the user experience wasn’t as smooth or intuitive as it could have been.
So, we set out to give the Imperial Homes website a full refresh, focusing on creating a modern design and simplified user journey, allowing users to explore the homes showcased on the website and enquire quickly and easily.

Imperial Homes needed a website that highlights their bespoke developments and offers a simple and easy-to-navigate user experience.
So, we set three primary goals for the website project:
- Creating a modern design that reflected the quality of their properties
- Include clear calls-to-action (CTAs) to increase enquiries
- Design new navigation menus to enhance usability
We began with the design phase, creating bespoke designs based on custom wireframes created by our UX Specialists.
The focus for the design was to create a modern and characterful design aesthetic, and for the layout, we prioritised simplicity and functionality.
While this project didn’t include a full UX research phase, our web designers worked with our UX specialists to improve the website’s usability and make it easier for visitors to find information and submit enquiries for Imperial Homes’ developments.

Once the client approved the designs, we moved on to rebuilding the website.
