Making sure your website is fully accessible and easy for everyone to use.
Digital accessibility plays a big part in making your website easy to use and improving user satisfaction. By designing for those with physical disabilities and cognitive impairments, you can create a truly accessible website experience for everyone.
Here’s how our Accessibility Audits improve your User Experience…
Accessibility Benchmarking
We assess your website or app against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) to see how well it meets accessibility standards using their A (basic), AA (industry standard), and AAA (highest level) or accessibility criteria.
These guidelines are the widely used industry standard for accessibility checks that help to highlight any gaps that could make it harder for people with disabilities to use your website.
We identify where your site falls short and where improvements can be made to help you meet the industry standard for compliance (AA).
Identifying Accessibility Barriers
Our Accessibility Audits uncover the barriers that make it difficult for users with physical, visual, auditory, or cognitive impairments to interact with your site. Issues like poor colour contrast, missing alt text, inaccessible forms, or lack of keyboard navigation can cause frustration and prevent users from fully engaging with your site.
We break everything down in a clear, easy-to-follow report, explaining each issue, how it impacts usability, and why it needs to be fixed. This gives you a better understanding of how accessibility problems affect real users and helps you prioritise improvements that will make the biggest difference.
Clear UX Guidance
Our UX Specialists provide practical recommendations that your designers and developers can follow to resolve accessibility issues.
We make sure any changes not only meet accessibility requirements but also improve the overall user experience. That way, you’re not just ticking compliance boxes but creating a genuinely more inclusive and user-friendly website.
If you don’t have the in-house resources or need extra support, we can implement the fixes for you as part of a wider UX project.
Enhanced Usability & Compliance
Fixing accessibility issues doesn’t just help users with disabilities and it makes your website better for everyone.
Smoother navigation, clearer content, and better structure lead to a more enjoyable experience for all visitors, which can help increase your engagement and conversion rates.
With the European Accessibility Act (2025) setting stricter rules for UK businesses trading in the EU, accessibility is becoming more than just a best practice; for some, it’s also a legal requirement.
Our Accessibility Audits help you stay compliant, avoid potential fines, while creating a more accessible, future-proof website that benefits both your users and your business.
Benefits of our Accessibility Audits.
Our Accessibility Audits are designed to identify and optimise areas of your site’s design, structure, and flow that are difficult for some users to read or interact with.
FAQs about our Accessibility Audits
Why is website accessibility important?
With over 16 million disabled adults in the UK, website accessibility isn’t just about compliance; it’s about creating a better user experience while making your business more inclusive.
Making your website accessible means everyone, including people with disabilities, can use it easily. This helps to improve your website’s overall user experience and usability for everyone, which can result in increased engagement, conversions, and revenue.
How much does an Accessibility Audit cost?
Our Accessibility Audits involve several hours of detailed website testing, analysis, reporting and creating tailored UX recommendations.
Typically, a one-off Accessibility Audit will start from £1,650 +VAT – but this can vary depending on the size and complexity of your website or app.

What does WCAG 2.1 AA compliance involve?
WCAG 2.1 (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) are the internationally recognised standard for web accessibility, ensuring websites and digital content are accessible to users with disabilities by focusing on four key principles:
- Perceivable: Content must be easy to see and hear, with text alternatives for images and captions for videos.
- Operable: Navigation must be smooth, with full keyboard access and compatibility with screen readers.
- Understandable: Content should be clear and easy to read, and interactive elements like buttons and forms should be predictable.
- Robust: Websites must work across different devices and assistive technologies, like screen readers.
WCAG uses an ‘A’ scoring system to measure compliance:
- A (Basic Accessibility): Covers essential fixes but doesn’t eliminate all barriers.
- AA (Industry Standard): The recommended level for most businesses, balancing accessibility and usability.
- AAA (Highest Level): The most comprehensive level, though often impractical for all content.
Most businesses should aim for WCAG 2.1 AA compliance to provide an inclusive, user-friendly experience that meets industry standards.
Who does the EAA 2025 apply to?
The European Accessibility Act (EAA) 2025 is an EU law that came into effect in June 2025 and is designed to improve digital and physical accessibility for people with disabilities.
It sets minimum accessibility requirements for websites, apps, ATMs, assistive technology, and electronic communications.
The law applies to EU-based businesses (and UK businesses that operate in EU markets) with at least 10 employees and €2 million turnover. Failure to meet the required standards (WCAG 2.1 AA) could open your business to lawsuits, potential fines, and reputation damage.
