The Palaeontographical Society was established in 1847, and is the oldest Society devoted specifically to the advancement of palaeontological knowledge in existence. The primary role of the Society is to promote the description and illustration of the British fossil floras and faunas, and it publishes monographs to this end. The society came to us to redevelop and rebuild their dated website that was no longer fit for purpose.

The Strategy.

Working on a website with so much heritage, we wanted to create an extremely refined yet classic website that perfectly showcased the incredible imagery of the fossils themselves. The website needed to explain in details about the society history and have a clear user journey for the visitors.

We started by researching other societies, and created low and high fidelity designs to then build a stunning, yet simple website that will showcase the society for years to come.
