Overview
Smilemakers is a dental, orthodontic, and implant clinic in Burseldon, Southampton.
After working with Smilemakers’ previous owner and director on web design, branding, and marketing projects for his other dental and cosmetic businesses, he came to us for a redesign and rebuild of the Smilemakers website.
Our focus for the project was to create a premium website design with a UX-first approach that makes it quick and easy for users to learn more about Smilemakers’ different treatments, book appointments, and enquire.
Designing and Building a Fresh Website for Smilemakers.
As with any website project we undertake, we started with in-depth UX research and auditing of the existing Smilemakers website and carried out competitor research, looking at other dental clinics in Southampton and the surrounding areas.
This research is vital for identifying user friction points and other problem areas on the client’s existing website, finding opportunities for improvement, and finding ways to exceed the quality of their competitors’ user experiences.
Using this research, our UX Specialists worked alongside our Web Design & Development team to create a best-in-class experience that allows users to find information, book appointments, and make enquiries quickly and easily.
Following best practices and trends in the dental industry, our web designers created a smooth UX flow and a clean, premium design for the website, providing excellent functionality and a clear and logical structure to the website content and forms.
The result
Since the launch of the Smilemakers website in June 2023, the client has seen a considerable increase in website engagements, form submissions, and other conversion actions as a result of the reworked user experience and website structure.
We have since completed several one-off marketing projects for Smilemakers, helping to action technical SEO fixes, UX tweaks, and other marketing tasks – helping to support their revenue growth.
