Supporting Just Be Maritime's Launch With a Website & UX Strategy
Just Be Maritime is a maritime consultancy firm offering services for recruiting and managing Officer Cadets in training in the UK maritime sectors.
When Just Be Maritime came to us in early 2022, they were just a few short months away from fully launching their business. One of the final things they needed was a user-centric website that would serve as a key driver of opportunities and growth.
With the website, we aimed to create an experience conveying the maritime lifestyle that would appeal to younger audiences and encourage them to consider an Officer Cadet programme with Just Be Maritime.
With Just Be Maritime’s focus on attracting and onboarding cadets, so focusing on the user was imperative and what matters to them was essential.
User experience design was a big part of this project, and we focused on making the client’s USPs easily digestible and creating a smooth application process.
Our UX Specialists started by conducting in-depth research into similar websites and the friction points in their application processes. The client worked closely with our team, supplying much of the page content and USP information.
These USPs were primarily focused on the benefits of training with Just Be Maritime instead of going to University; for example, no student loans, high-value skills, and career opportunities with some of the biggest maritime companies in the world.
In terms of design and structure, we wanted to create something simple yet aesthetically pleasing that would highlight essential information and call-to-actions, and guide users to conversion points.

With a visually-appealing design with a user-centric experience, Just Be Maritime’s new website gives them a platform to attract and retain user interest, showcase what they do, and drive inbound leads.
Working with the client, we’ve implemented content that interests their target audience and guides them through the website to key conversion points.
Since the launch, Just Be Maritime has seen consistent levels of user engagement, inbound leads, and sign-ups to their Officer Cadet programmes.
