Who you are

The role is best suited for someone with experience with account management, as you will constantly be communicating with our clients, chasing project payments.  The ideal candidate will be willing and hungry to learn and with high attention to detail and strong organisational skills.

You must have the ability to demonstrate a high level of working knowledge of finance management. The successful candidate can hit the ground running and will be enthusiastic with a positive attitude, dedication and willingness to work hard, sometimes under high pressure.

What you’ll do

This role will require you to manage the accounts for Damteq.  This means taking ownership of the invoicing for the company, raising for clients and payment of supplier invoices.  You will also be required to carry out the payroll and manage this process.

Your day to day

  • Create and manage invoices for our clients.
  • Monthly reconciliation of bank statements and control accounts and monthly credit control.  
  • Timely processing and payment of supplier invoices.
  • Processing and analysing income and expenditure as required.
  • Support in budgeting and cash flow.
  • Actively chasing overdue customer invoices.
  • Housekeeping of client accounts in Sage.
  • Manage, prepare and submit VAT returns.
  • Manage the payroll for the company under HMRC guidelines.
  • Resolving and answering payroll-related issues and questions.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant laws and internal policies.
  • Reporting to HMRC.
  • Processing new starters and leavers and following internal process to update pensions.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Experience in using Sage
  • Experience in bank reconciliation
  • Experience in managing recurring payments
  • Top-notch mathematic skills
  • Using Excel functions and calculations
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication and literacy skills
  • Must have the ability to work well independently and as part of a team

Working Hours

As this is a part-time role, and we are people-centred, we are happy to be flexible with the hours you wish to work to fit in with your lifestyle as long as the quota of hours per week (16 – 20 hours per week) is met.
