It was only a few weeks ago that Twitter updated their interface to be cleaner, flatter and provide a better desktop experience. We love the latest Twitter update and would happily settle for it…
…but then we saw their huge beta redesign that appears to be a Twitter/Facebook hybrid. To begin with, tweets are now set out in a grid instead of a list, the bio and profile picture are set to the left, and more stats are displayed underneath the new sized cover picture.
Facebook’s teenage segment has been slowly declining ever since parents arrived onto the social network, with many teens now using Twitter instead, so they won’t see what they’re posting up. With the new beta Twitter interface providing more emphasis on the personal aspect of social media which Facebook so perfectly achieves, it might just be the boost that Twitter needs.
