Founded in the mid-1980’s at the dawn of the PC age, Captec centred on using cost-effective PC-based technologies to integrate bespoke systems for engineering and scientific applications. Over the last 32 years, Captec’s business has moved to designing and manufacturing specialist computer platforms as opposed to turnkey bespoke solutions. Captec has since gone on to win the Queens Award for Enterprise and has been recognised as one of the region’s top 20 companies for two consecutive years.
The Captec website refresh project came with a very clear brief. The new website needed to be clean, up to date and professional to accurately represent the Captec brand. The site also needed to be fully accessible across all platforms and browsers. The project demanded an extremely SEO friendly website that would aid the company in increasing its organic Google ranking for key industry related search phrases.
The website also had to be very flexible, allowing incredibly easy editing by the in-house design and marketing team.
The new Captec website is entirely modernised in both its front-end design and its backend development. Built on our bespoke Dam’ Good® framework, the website brings the Captec brand to the fore, giving prominence to its core services and capabilities with a simple and easy to use navigation.
Within the first few days of launch, the website saw an increase in traffic. After deploying a live chat system on the website, Captec received a number of enquiries within the first week. The new site has been received with highly positive reviews from both the internal teams at Captec and their customers and clients.
