Secondly take the time to find the right platform, Blogger and WordPress are two of the most popular. Blogger is ran by Google and free to use, however if you’re using a blog for business purposes I’d definitely recommend WordPress. It’s easy to use and manage and the more popular choice.

It’s really important to find your niche market; you can’t blog to every Jack and Harry. As a business you should know who your target market is anyway, and bear them in mind when you’re writing. If you’re a financial company chances are, your readers don’t want to hear about Burberry’s latest collection.


Be beautiful. Content is hugely important when writing, no one is going to read a poorly written blog. But images are equally as important. Use bright, big, and bold images that make a statement and showcase your blog and more importantly your business. Also use images that are relevant and that are there for a reason.

Patience is key with blogging. You’re not going to be a huge success over night, so be patient and see your fan base gradually increase. Saying that do use social media platforms to promote your blog, if you have a business website, dedicate a section solely to your blog and encourage readers to comment and interact.

The most important tip I can give you is to put your personality across, and reflect your businesses qualities. Take time in developing your writing style and approach. Your readers want to see the person behind the post, and what they have to say.
